Mission :
The Study Program of Psychology of Bali Dwipa University is one of the study programs concerned with the science and applied science of human behaviour, mental function, and scientific mental processes. The practitioners in psychology are rereferred to as psychologists; they try to learn the role played by the mental function in individual and collective behaviors, and the physiological and neurobiological processes leading to behaviour. Psychology is one of the disciplines concerned with the mental behaviour. It does not only describe what we do and how we behave, but it also investigates the flow of thought and the reasoning of what we do, starting from what is perceived of, what is cognitively confessed to interpersonal relations. The psychological theory and information are frequently used to solve problems.
Learning Psychology is a combinationof science and art, causing it to be an interesting experience. The areas of interest in psychology are: Industrial and Organizational Psychology; Clinical Psychology; Social Psychology; Developmental Psychology and Educational Psychology. Apart from General Basic Courses, there are also the other courses concerned with psychology in the beginning of semester; they are Personality Psychology which learns the history and basic philosophy of personality groupings, personality types, etc.; General Psychology, which is concerned with all aspects of psychology, closer to the introduction to what is learned in psychology; Clinical Psychology, which is concerned with mental problems, types of mental diseases, including how to solve them; Developmental Psychology, which is concered with the science of the development of humankind, starting from when one is born to when one is old. In the beginning of semester, all are generally learned. Then they are sub-divided. As an illustration, Developmental Psychology is sub-divided into Child Development Psychology, Pscyhology for Elderly People etc. They are usually offered as Elective Courses.
